After using the DJI Mavic Pro for a few days now, I feel there is a time and a place to use the Propeller Guards.
They are inexpensive: $15 or less on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2ymQBJ3
Although they are fragile and bulky, they do get GREAT reviews on Amazon!
When to use:
-
When there are lots of obstacles near by.
-
When you use a Active Track mode in a tight area.
-
When I plan to catch the Mavic Pro with my hands; I don’t want the propellers to hit my head or eyes!
When I prefer NOT to use:
-
When I’m in a hurry: When I need to unpack, take off, capture footage, land, pack, and move away asap.
-
When I want to travel light…and fit everything in my DJI Mavic Pro Shoulder bag
Here’s how to install the Mavic Pro Propeller Guards without removing the propellers:
Pro Tip:
Keep the packaging:
If you buy the Mavic Pro Propeller Guards, remember to keep the cardboard box along with the packaging foam.
This is probably the best way to store these super fragile Propeller Guards when not in use.
