I went to Costco today, and saw the 2016 DJI Mavic pro for $200 less than when I got mine just 2 months ago!! Now, I know why…..
I went online and saw that DJI is going to announce a new Drone Tomorrow (January 23, 2018 at 9AM EST).
You can buy it on DJI’s website now: http://click.dji.com/AN3PNHFUXRQu57eUaT0NVg?pm=link
You can buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2F33haO
CORRECTION: The official specs are now out, it sadly does NOT have 4k 60FPS. It only does 4k at 30FPS.

Another Great Review: iJustine:
They showed a teaser photo of the drone.
And just this morning there has been a bunch leaked photos of the Mavic Air released.
It looks like silloutee of the teaser photo is this Mavic Air!
Rumored specs are:
-
It will be smaller and lighter than the 2016 Mavic Pro
-
It will include a 32 MP Sphere Panoramas
-
3-Axis Gimbal
-
4K video at 30 fps
-
Gesture Control (SmartCapture)
-
Obstacle-avoidance sensor
-
Foldable arms
-
21-minute flight time
-
Remote Control will be included.
-
Multiple body colors (Arctic White, Onyx Black, Flame Red).
-
Price at $799
I’m not sure what will be the better buy, a reduced priced 2016 Mavic Pro or a 2018 Mavic Air; they will probably be priced REALLY close considering the discounts stores will have on the older Mavic Pro.
Although Drones have been getting really popular, I didn’t get to fly my drone much while I was in Hawaii because the beautiful state parks don’t allow it. In general, I’ve noticed that there are more restrictions on flying drones. But when you are allowed to fly it, the footage is totally worth it!
Are you excited about the Mavic Air? Are you thinking about getting one? Will it be your First drone? Let me know in the comments below!
FYI:
I’ve had the Mavic Pro and has a really hard time flying it home against some heavy wind, so a smaller drone might have a harder time, but I don’t think by much.
